Justin & Tarah- Married!!

So I didn't get a chance to toast my brother and newest sister(in-law) at their wedding last weekend, So here it goes. Justin has been the quintessential big brother right from the start. Being less than two years older than me I wanted to do everything that he did, play GI Joe,  build tree forts(and get pushed out of them...yes I still remember that.) watch the x-men cartoons ect. So basically I was a giant pain in his butt. At some point he quit being annoyed and started being protective...Like my 9th grade winter formal dance when he didn't approve of a boy I danced with...and every boy after that. ;-)
Then as we got older I found myself being protective of him... he dated a few girls, no one special, no one I thought was good enough for my big bro anyway. And then he met Tarah and I could tell it was different from the start. First he would say that they were just friends..but he talked about her alot for just a friend..I mean a lot. I had moved to Oregon by this point, and several intense conversations later around new years eve '11 I get a phone call.."I think Tarah is my girlfriend!"....It's about Time! was my response I'm pretty sure.

So this struck up many more conversations, and then a handful of months later he started talking rings, of the engagement variety, and weddings, just hypothetically of course.  So when he sent me a photo via really bad cell phone, of the ring in a box followed by "She said Yes!!" I was thrilled.
Their wedding was beautiful, and I couldn't be happier that I don't have to be the protective younger sister anymore, because I can see how happy he is with Tarah, and she with him. Cheers.

xoxo,
Amy
